Submission Guidelines: Untitled

Since I got my copy of the namesake and need to fix something on it, I will name the next project that is a #horror anthology.  I am offering a payment for editor’s choice only for the stories in this one so pay attention as you’re reading this.  I am not looking for m/m or f/f oriented type fiction for this one so if you write this sort of thing this is not your anthology.  I am looking for stories that put Goth back in Gothic Horror — that is the theme for this anthology and looking to make this anthology about 190 pages with the body of the anthology alone and will have pages for about the authors.
The stories for the anthologies I am looking for are between 3000-5000 words and the payment for editor’s choice will be $35.00.  The e-mail address is set up for the stories and don’t put spaces in the paragraphs.  The anthology will be published when it is filled and the artists will be doing the covers when they read the anthology.  I will be possibly doing the photo covers like I did with Tabloid Purposes IV and Tabloid Purposes: Book Five.  The book here will have more in common with Tabloid Purposes IV and the namesake anthologies.  Send the stories as a .doc to project.goth@live.com and I will look at them when I get the new monitor.
I am looking more Twilight Zone in terms of the Gothic here with Goth characters — set the Twilight Zone stories in the Goth community. The anthology here will not have any stories from the public domain in there just writers from the current era who are interested in submitting their work but if they want to gage the anthologies they can gage them by reading A Library of Unknown Horrors. This is the format I will take.

  • .doc or .odt attachment
  • 3000-5000 words Firm
  • project.goth@live.com is the address to send the submissions
  • No Homosexual content

New post in a long time on here and this is #horror and figured I would used tumbler to introduce Ray Faraday Nelson from “They Live” Fame. The story in the magazine is the very story that They Live is based upon. This issue of the magazine was first published on Thanxgiving 2010 with writers Fred Wiehe, S.G. Cardin and Carol Sullivan to name a few of the writers on the roster with that issue. This issue is the one that is one of the largest next to the first two issues of the magazine. I only got one copy of the magazine left at home that I can sell signed but if you want to order this one up go get it on Lulu.com. Ray shocked me when he said he’d sign on board for the issue and this one reunites Barry Eysman and T. Casey Brennan within the pages of the magazine who haven’t appeared together in nearly 10 years to the day that issue came out.
I mentioned some about this one on facebook two years ago when it came out but it came with some problems from the printing department on Lulu.com because they wouldn’t been able to print the font.  While that is being mentioned I thought I would do a post because it’s been a long time since I did one here and thought it was time to introduce the masses to Ray Faraday Nelson and the story was the inspiration for the story on Specficworld.com called Flying Cigars which was published four years ago.

So what do you write?
I am getting to know some of the people around here, I am new to the website but not new to the publishing industry. I am doing this so I can get an idea who visits the place. What do you write in terms of fiction? Horror, Science Fiction, or metalfictional stories. If you don't write slash or yaoi we'll get along great.
Published or looking to be?

I am putting another few anthologies together and this will be under The Ethereal Gazette moniker — The Ethereal Gazette Presents:  series are anthologies that are published between issues of the magazine and submissions can be sent to etherealgazette@gmail.com.  I want to keep the page count between 240-265 pages and this will be published with Booklocker.com or some of the other formats — I will work with other publishers if they know how to work with Createspace.com.
The metafictional anthology I am looking for something dark and Christ centered at the same time. I am not looking for any GLBT related stories so don’t send me those. This is a 4theluv market as something between the magazine. I am stressing on the horrific too with the stories. I want to have the stories stand out for the anthologies and the anthologies where The Ethereal Gazette Presents I will be absent from contributing a story of my own for this thing. Please follow the house rules presented on the submission guidelines of the magazine if you’re going to submit to the anthologies.
I have some very strict rules and want them to be honored as my wishes for the anthologies as well as the stories in the magazine.  The magazine is offering payments starting at $10.00 with an editor’s choice of $30.00.  Contributors will get  a pdf version of the anthology or the magazine if the memory of the anthology isn’t huge.  If you need help looking for what Metafictional works are look into Stephen King’s work because his work is prime examples of metafictional stories in horror.  Nightmares work best in this one so if you have a nightmare you want to relate for this you can send it as a .doc or .docx to etherealgazette@gmail.com and they can be presented as journal entries that are 2400 words up to 4500 words.  I want to keep the anthology a reasonable size.
Writers who write for the magazine directly must have a paypal account to be paid so keep that in mind.  My InsaneJournal.com has some explicit instructions about what I am looking for — I don’t publish poetry unless it’s 800 words.  Meaning it is told in verse it better be a reasonable length and tells a story. Think Iron Maiden’s Number of the Beast — I am looking to call the anthology “Welcome To Our Nightmares.”

I am looking to make this anthology A5 trade paperback format if I go with booklocker.com and contracts will be done via e-mail only meaning keep the e-mail exchanges for your records if you get accepted.   So if you are published or looking to be — I am providing a link for you to be published, and the cover art I want for this will be that one painting that is posted here of the strange dude with the rabbit having tea, that was cool and if the artist wants to get ahold of me they can e-mail me at napacione@hotmail.com.  The anthologies are an open tryout for the magazine if you got accepted for the anthology you will be contacted to write for the magazine too in the horror genre.
Nightmares have that meta work quality are the ones that work best for this sort of thing if you want any help with what I want in a submission go to http://np1976.codexed.com — sign the guestbook on the main website to query for the anthology as a private message.

This is an actual nightmare I had about a car accident I was in back around February of 1996.  This one is a bit of a testimony for me because God did spare me from something worst than losing my ability to walk.  I can walk and run but there was a time I came very close to thinking I could had that taken away from me.
I am open about my faith but I have yet to find a church that would take me as I am.  This entry is one that people can read on codexed as one of my freebies. This one has some dark stuff going for it — Let it Fade means as what it says it will eat one up the rest of their life, one moment in life would induce a lot of nightmares as an adult.  If one had dark premonitions about being in a car accident I wish I didn’t get in that car that night.

I talk about a freebie I’m working on in this one. The blog that is talking about this freebie will be on blurty.com and that is soon to be updated too as I am doing this. This is a tumblr exclusive video Blurty can’t host video like either wordpress or insanejournal can.  So with that I give you the details about what I am writing right now.  This willl have a few choice words in the video — just to warn some of you I do drop the word “faggot.”   I updated the journal located on http://nickolaus.insanejournal.com just  as well.  This one is not for the faint of heart or weak of mind.  The entries on codexed.com are longer entries but not quite a day to day. This is a day to day like the wordpress.com blog was.  The video there is the countdown to Richmond.
